Born in Fukuoka City, Japan. His real name is Tokujiro. After studying under Ikeda Terukata and Tsutiya Ryuko, he became a student of Ito Shinsui. He was active in the Teiten and Nitten exhibitions. He excelled at portraying beautiful women.
