志村立美 Shimura Tatsumi (1907-1980)
Born in Gunma Prefecture. Studied under Yamakawa Shuho and trained in Bijinga (portraits of beautiful women). At the time, Yamakawa Shuho was also active as an illustrator with Ito Shinsui, a fellow student of Kaburaki Kiyokata. At the recommendation of Yamakawa Shuho, Tasumi also began working as an illustrator and was considered a master of illustration.

志村立美 Shimura Tatsumi (1907-1980)
